Meet the NACC LA Interns

Tomine Kivle

Marketing & Business Development Intern - Winter 2021

My name is Tomine Kivle and I am the newest intern at NACC LA! I am born and raised in Norway’s blues town, Notodden, but I currently go to high school in Sandefjord, the whale city.

I`ll be graduating from the IB program in May and I am so excited to finally get to focus on what I really want to do, filmmaking. After the summer I am moving to the US to study Film and Television studies.

During my time at NACC I will help issue newsletters, working especially on the section called “Norsk Hjørne”. I will also help with member management, and connect with other Scandinavians who share an interest in Norway. Additionally, I will be helping with anything that needs to be done from Norway specifically.

I am confident that this internship will provide me with valuable life skills that I can utilize later on in my career.

Sara Gresell

Marketing & Business Development Intern - Spring 2020

My name is Sara Gresell, and I am the newest member of the NACC LA team, which I'm very thrilled about. I am not Norwegian, but instead Danish, which is just as cool. Therefore, I was very excited when I got this amazing opportunity to become an intern at NACC Los Angeles, since we share many of the same Scandinavian values.

When I'm not interning at NACC Los Angeles, I go to school at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). I am finally a senior after 3 memorable years, which means that I am about to graduate in May 2020 with a Bachelor Degree in Marketing.

During my internship at NACC Los Angeles, I will plan networking events, issue newsletters, connect with fellow Scandinavians and other people interested in Norway and Scandinavia. I am also planning on using my current Scandinavian connections along side with my language skills (Danish and English) to attract new members and sponsors to NACC Los Angeles.

Finally, I hope that this amazing opportunity at NACC Los Angeles will teach me many valuable things that can help in my future career. Getting real world experience is personally something that I consider very important, mainly because that's where I get to apply my current knowledge and gain new knowledge at the same time.

“Glad to introduce myself as Tina, the first intern at the NACC LA! I am very excited to have this opportunity! Born to a French father and a Norwegian mother, I am eager to contribute to the growth of NACC LA. I am thrilled to share my Norwegian culture, plan networking events, issue newsletters, connect with Norwegians and people interested in my country.
During my internship at NACC, I plan to use my language skills (Norwegian, English, French, German) to attract new members and sponsors from the international community that California has to offer. This experience at NACC presents a good fit for me to gain practical expertise that directly relates to my major field of study which is Marketing and International Business.” - Tina
